(A) The Director of Finance is authorized to advertise for bids according to law for the legal depository of public money.

(B) The advertisement for bids shall state that the bids to be received are to be sealed, and that the bids are to be received by the Director of Finance, and that the surety offered shall be subject to the approval of the City Manager and the Director of Finance, and that the time for the contract for the deposit of public money shall be limited to two years, and that the advertisement for bids shall be inserted once a week for two consecutive weeks in a newspaper for general circulation in the city.
