A. Generally: The hours of operation for any "park", as defined in section 8-3-1 of this chapter, shall be from dawn to dusk, or such other time as shall be set by resolution of the village board of trustees.
B. Alternate Hours: The village board of trustees may, by ordinance, resolution or agreement, set alternate hours for the operation of any park, which such hours shall be governing; provided, that a notice of the hours of park operation is posted in a prominent location at the park affected. Further, the village manager or police chief may grant written, temporary permission for extended use of a park area after the normal hours of operation, for a period not to exceed forty eight (48) hours, upon application from a member of the public.
C. Effect On Park District Or Forest Preserve: Nothing contained in this section shall alter or affect any hours of operation for any public park under the control of any park district or forest preserve. (Ord. 2007-62, 6-4-2007)
