(A) It shall be unlawful for any person to operate or drive any vehicle at a speed greater than 25 miles per hour in any school zone during a period of time of 30 minutes prior to and 30 minutes following the times when the school begins and ends its daily schedule.
(B) For the purposes of this section, a
SCHOOL ZONE shall be deemed to be that portion of any street abutting any school property for a distance not to exceed 500 feet on either side of the school property.
