(A) Except to the extent hereinbefore in this schedule, traffic on streets or avenues intersecting with the following streets shall come to a complete stop before preceding into such section of traffic on the mentioned portions of the following streets and avenues having the right-of-way in traveling over same superior to traffic entering same from other streets. To that end, two-way stop signs shall be installed at each side of the intersection of streets with the following streets, specified preferred streets and avenues to warn traffic to come to a stop before entering upon said preferred streets.

(B) Four-way stop signs, whereby all traffic must stop at the street intersection before preceding into same, shall be installed at the following street intersections:

(C) It shall be unlawful for a person, while operating a motor vehicle, to fail to bring such vehicle to a complete stop in compliance with such four-way or two-way stop signs, before proceeding into a street intersection where such stop signs are installed.
(D) The City Council may hereafter establish and install such stop signs at other street intersections, and provisions of this schedule shall apply to same when so installed.
