(A) Yard waste generated by normal lawn care that is separated and placed at the curb shall be picked up by the town. Separation shall be as follows:
(1) Pine straw, pine cones, and leaves can be together;
(2) Vines separate;
(3) Sticks and twigs can be together; and
(4) Limbs and branches together need to be parallel to the street.
(B) (1) Limbs and branches no larger than four inches in diameter and ten feet in length will be picked up by the town no more than once a week per household.
(2) The debris to be removed must be consistent with the vegetation found on the property and be reasonable related to the quantity of plant material the property can grow. They must be placed at the curb for pick up.
(3) Limbs and branches larger than four inches in diameter and longer than six feet in length or stumps may be picked up after a fee is paid to the town. The fee will be calculated by a town employee or agent following an inspection based upon weight. If the fee is not paid, the limbs and/or yard debris will not be picked up.
(4) An amount of limbs four feet high, ten feet long and six feet wide is the most that can be put at the curb for pick up at any one time. If this amount is exceeded, it will not be picked up.
(C) The contractor will remove its tree cuttings and tree removal debris. CONTRACTORS are defined as persons of legal age whose derives income by landscaping/gardening/pulpwood contractor.
(D) No land clearing debris will be picked up by the town.
(E) No building materials, demolition materials, shingles, or cross-ties will be picked up by the town. The town truck may be used, but owner is responsible for loading and payment of fee.
(F) No tree trunks, tree stumps, rocks, or masonry products will be picked up by the town, same provision as division (E) above.
(G) The town shall collect scrap metal and appliances, and other metal products for recycling. The town shall not collect appliances generated by a commercial enterprise.
(H) No collection shall be made from vacant lots, except for limbs, regular yard debris as defined in division (A) above.
