§ 52.99 PENALTY.

(A) Any person violating any provision of this chapter for which no specific penalty is prescribed shall be subject to § 10.99 of this code of ordinances.

(B) Any person violating § 52.06 shall be subject to a penalty of not more than $200 or imprisoned not more than 30 days for each such offense. Any offender is liable for the cost of repair to chipper and/or other equipment resulting in violation of § 52.06.

(C) (1) As provided by G.S. §§ 14-4 and 160A-175, the town has the authority to impose a penalty not to exceed $50 for violations of this chapter.

(2) Garbage containers left on the parkway after the prescribed hours shall be classified as a violation of this section. Each subsequent day they are left on the parkway will be considered a new offense.
