§ 32.014 TREASURER.
   (A)   Office created. There is hereby created the office of Treasurer of the Fire Department. The Treasurer shall be elected by the members of the Fire Department at the first meeting in May each year, and shall hold his office for one year and until his successor is elected and qualified.
   (B)   Oath; bond. The Treasurer, before entering upon his duties shall take and subscribe to the oath provided for in § 32.015, and execute a bond to the city with sureties to be approved by the Mayor. The penal sum of the bond shall be equal to twice the amount of funds arising from the fire insurance tax, in the treasury of the Department at the time the Treasurer takes office, plus twice the aggregate to be received on account of fire insurance tax as provided by ordinance as estimated for the ensuing year.
   (C)   Duties. It shall be the duty of the Treasurer to keep all money received on account of fire insurance taxes separate and apart from all funds in his hands. The proceeds of the fire insurance tax shall be paid only on warrants signed by the Chief and Secretary, and ordered by majority vote of those present at a regular or special meeting of the Depart- ment. Every such warrant shall state on its face the purpose for which it is drawn. The Treasurer shall make an annual report, in detail, of the receipts and expenditures of the funds arising from such fire department tax, which report shall be submitted to the City Council on or before the third Monday of April in each year.
