(A) Office created. There is hereby created the office of Assistant Fire Chief of the Fire Department who shall be elected by the members of the Fire Department at the first meeting in May of each year.
(B) Duties. The Assistant Fire Chief shall perform such duties as is herein provided and required of the Fire Chief, in the absence of the Fire Chief, and shall take and subscribe to the oath as provided in § 32.015.
