As a condition of employment or continued employment with Pima County's pima health system as an attendant care worker, in accordance with subparagraphs (1) and (2) below, prospective and current attendant care workers shall submit a full set of fingerprints on a standard fingerprint card to pima health system for a state and federal criminal history records check pursuant to A.R.S. § 41-1750 and Public Law 92-544. Pima health system shall forward those fingerprints, accompanied by the appropriate fees, which shall be paid by pima health system, to the Arizona department of public safety for the purpose of obtaining a state and federal criminal history record check. The Department of Public Safety is authorized to exchange this fingerprint data with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
1. As of the effective date of this chapter, each prospective attendant care worker shall, within ten (10) business days of the successful completion of the attendant care worker training program, furnish a full set of fingerprints on a standard fingerprint card to the manager of human resources for pima health system.
2. Within 45 days of the effective date of this chapter, each attendant care worker currently employed by pima health system shall, as a condition of continued employment, furnish a full set of fingerprints on a standard fingerprint card to the manager of human resources for pima health system.
