A. A hazardous waste management fund is established to be administered by the department. The fund consists of any moneys transferred by the board of supervisors to the hazardous waste management fund; registration fees collected and appropriated to the department under Section 7.09.090; any moneys from civil or criminal penalties the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality has collected pursuant to A.R.S. Title 49, Chapter 5 and provided to the department; and any interest earned on moneys in the fund.
B. Moneys in the hazardous waste management fund may be expended by the department, upon appropriation by the board of supervisors, only as authorized by law.
C. The director shall submit a report to the board of supervisors through the county administrator by July 1 of each year which relates the activities of the fund for the prior year.
