17.08.050   Ozone.
   A.   Eight-hour averaged standard.
      1.   The eight-hour averagedprimary ambient air quality standard for ozone is 0.070 parts per million (ppm), daily maximum eight-hour average.
      2.   The eight-hour averaged secondary ambient air quality standard for ozone is 0.070 ppm, daily maximum eight-hour average.
      3.   Eight-hour averaged primary and secondary ambient air quality standards for ozone are met at an ambient air quality monitoring site when the three-year average of the annual fourth-highest daily maximum eight-hour ozone concentration is less than or equal to 0.070 ppm, as determined in accordance with 40 CFR 50, Appendix U.
   B.   The levels of ozone in the ambient air shall be measured by:
      1.   A reference method based on 40 CFR 53, Appendix D, and designated in accordance with 40 CFR 53; or
      2.   An equivalent method designated in accordance with 40 CFR 53.
