(a) Whenever any work is being done contrary to the provisions of these Codified Ordinances, the Development Services Director or the City Engineer may order the work stopped by posting at the work site a printed notice to "Stop Work," signed by the Development Services Director or the City Engineer, or by serving a notice in writing to any person engaged in doing such work or causing such work to be done. Such persons shall immediately stop such work until authorized by the Development Services Director or the City Engineer to proceed with the work.
(b) Any person affected by an order of the Development Services Director or the City Engineer to stop work may appeal to the Board of Zoning Appeals.
