(a) In all newly constructed structures, all sanitary waste shall flow by gravity from each fixture in the residence to the City sewer collection system. Pumps will not be permitted to assist the flow of residential waste from private residences (i.e. ejector and/or grinder pumps are expressly prohibited). In addition, the sewer lateral shall exit the residence at an elevation lower than the lowest floor.
(b) All basement floor drains (if provided) shall discharge to the sanitary sewer. Flow from basement drains shall not be assisted by pumps, but shall flow by gravity to the City sewer system.
