The following water conservation performance standards for plumbing fixtures and fittings shall be applicable in the City:
(a) Water Closets and Associated Flushing Mechanisms. The water consumption of water closets operated by flush tanks and flush valves shall not exceed an average of 3.5 gallons per flush or be less than three gallons per flush cycle over a range of test pressures from twenty to eighty psig. The fixture shall perform in accordance with the test required of the ANSI 122.19.2M Vitreous China Plumbing Fixture Standards.
(b) Urinals and Associated Flushing Mechanisms. Urinal water consumption shall not exceed an average of one gallon per flush cycle over a range of test pressures from twenty to eighty psig. The fixture shall perform in accordance with the test requirements of ANSI 122.19.2M.
(c) Showerheads. Showerhead discharge rates shall not exceed 2.5 gallons of water per minute over a range of test pressures from twenty to eighty psig. The fixture shall perform in accordance with the test requirements of ANSI 122.18.1M.
(d) Faucets. Sink and lavatory faucet discharge shall not exceed 1.5 gallons of water per minute over a range of test pressures from twenty to eighty psig. The fixture shall perform in accordance with the test requirements of ANSI 112.18.1M.
