(a) A parent or guardian having custody of a minor is charged with the control of such minor and the duty to exercise parental control and authority over such minor. No parent or guardian shall fail or neglect to subject such minor to reasonable parental control with the result that such failure or neglect shall be the proximate cause of a delinquent act or acts of the minor.
(b) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree.
