(a) There is hereby created the position of Clerk of the Mayor's Court, who shall be authorized to accept bonds posted for any bondable offense according to the schedule prepared by the Mayor or by the orders of the Supreme Court of Ohio.

(b) The Mayor may appoint any qualified person to the position of Clerk of the Mayor's Court, to maintain the records of the Court and to perform any other related assigned duties. Compensation for this position shall be set by Council. The positions of Finance Director and Clerk of the Mayor's Court shall be separate and distinct positions.
