(a) The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to accept cash, vehicles and other property in accordance with the Contraband Seizure Forfeiture Act, Ohio R.C. 2933.43. However, any acceptance of real estate by the City Manager shall be subject to approval by ordinance of Council.
(b) The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to place all cash received pursuant to subsection (a) hereof in a special Law Enforcement Trust Fund, with the Finance Director, to be used solely for Police Department law enforcement purposes. Such Fund shall be separate and apart from any other special fund previously established.
(c) All vehicles and property received pursuant to subsection (a) hereof shall be assetted and brass-tagged to the Police Department, shall be used solely for law enforcement purposes or shall be sold, and the proceeds from the sale shall be deposited in the special Law Enforcement Trust Fund, as directed by the Chief of Police.
