Charges for services furnished by the Fire Department due to a recreational fire violation, safety nuisance or residential complaint to any premises shall be the responsibility of the property owner. The fee for fire services is $450 for the first hour of service and $300 for each additional hour of service. If these charges are not paid and become delinquent six months or more, the charges will be placed on the next tax roll against the premises to which such services shall have been rendered, and said charges shall be collected and a lien shall be enforced in the same manner as provided in respect to taxes assessed upon such roll, and the property owner will be responsible for payment of all charges.

This subchapter is intended to replace and supersede all existing village ordinances pertaining to the administration, definition, enforcement, charges and related matters pertaining to the allowance of recreational fires within the village. Accordingly, all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith and relating to a recreational fire are hereby repealed. It is understood, however, that the adoption of this subchapter, or its subsequent amendment or repeal, shall in no way change, relieve or release the existing obligations or any prior violations of prior ordinances of any person with respect to the system.

The village specifically reserves the right to amend this subchapter, in whole or in part, at one or more times hereafter, or to repeal the same, and by such amendment to repeal, abandon, increase, decrease or otherwise modify any of the guidelines, restrictions or fees herein provided.
