The Code hereby adopted is amended to the extent that when any statute of this state or any ordinance of the village shall impose greater or more stringent requirements, the more stringent or more restrictive requirement shall apply; that no ordinance of the village setting forth less stringent requirements shall be operative, the more restrictive requirements of either document being deemed to apply.
