Where alleys are not provided, easements of not less than six feet in width shall be provided on each side of rear lot lines and on side lines where necessary for utilities and shall be noted on the record plat. These easements should be direct and continuous from block to block. Easements of greater width may be required along natural watercourses and channels, such easements to conform substantially with the lines of such natural waterways.
