The City Clerk-Treasurer is directed and authorized to invest and reinvest any and all funds authorized by statute for investment in bills, certificates of deposit, or notes of the U.S. Government in a manner and for those periods of time as the Clerk-Treasurer may determine for the foreseeable availability of funds for expenditure, all as provided by and in accordance with state law. All interest derived therefrom shall be receipted to the fund from which investments were made.
