§ 72.29 USE OF VEHICLES ON RIVERFRONT WALKWAY.
   (A)   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   MOTOR VEHICLE. A vehicle that is self-propelled, including but not limited to, cars, trucks, farm vehicles, motorcycles, mopeds, and motorized scooters.
   RIVERFRONT WALKWAY. An area between Wabash and Holman Street on the north side of the Wabash River, more particularly described as part of J.B. Richardville Jr. Reserve, Township 27 North, Range 4 East, City of Peru, Miami County, Indiana, more fully described as follows:
   Commencing at the intersection of the south line of Canal Street and the west line of Broadway Street in the City of Peru, Indiana; thence South 60°00'00" West along the south line of Canal Street a distance of 145.29 feet to the northeast corner of the Literary Aid Society as recorded in Deed Record 116, Page 114 in the Office of the Miami County Recorder; thence South 30°00'00" East a distance of 59.85 feet to the southeast corner of said Literary Aid Society; thence continue South 30°00'00" East a distance of 60.00 feet to an iron rod being the point of beginning; thence continue South 30°00'00" East a distance of 65.42 feet to the northerly mean high water of the Wabash River; thence following said mean a high water line the following 13 courses and distances:
      (1)   South 63°30'00" West, 184.00 feet;
      (2)   South 58°55'00" West, 315.00 feet;
      (3)   South 58°43'00" West, 287.00 feet;
      (4)   South 58°40'00" West, 254.00 feet;
      (5)   South 62°12'00" West, 334.00 feet;
      (6)   South 62°08'00" West, 341.00 feet;
      (7)   South 57°12'00" West, 320.00 feet;
      (8)   South 59°33'00" West, 474.00 feet;
      (9)   South 59°54'00" West, 217.00 feet;
      (10)   South 67°55'00" West, 402.00 feet;
      (11)   South 67°46'00" West, 388.00 feet;
      (12)   South 57°51'00" West, 250.72 feet;
      (13)   South 60°40'00" West, 361.34 feet.
   Thence North 26°22'00" West a distance of 90.83 feet to an iron pin; thence North 60°25'00" East a distance of 594.50 feet to an iron pin; thence North 67°42'22" East a distance of 836.94 feet to an iron pin; thence North 60°05'20" East a distance of 2689.60 feet to the point of beginning, containing 6.876 acres.
   (B)   Motor vehicles shall not be permitted on the above described premises except to make repairs or under the direction of the Board of Public Works and Safety or the Park Board.
   (C)   It shall be unlawful for any person who is riding in or by means of a skateboard, coaster, scooter, toy vehicle, or any similar play device to park, stand or use any such vehicle or device upon the area described above as the Riverfront Walkway.
   (D)   It is hereby declared a public nuisance and therefore a violation of this code to operate a skateboard, coaster, scooter, toy vehicle, or any similar play device on Riverfront Walkway within the territory described above.
   (E)   A toy vehicle or skateboard operated in violation of this section may be temporarily by the Police Department held to abate the nuisance.
