(A) For the purpose of this section the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
(1) MEMBER. A person who has declared in a primary election to be associated with a certain political party, or a person who has been verified, by affidavit signed by the county chairman of a political party stating the person is a member in good standing.
(2) POLITICAL PARTY. Those political parties which were represented on the ballot and certified by the Secretary of State in the general election preceding the appointment.
(B) The Board shall consist of five members. Not more than two-thirds of the members may be of the same political party.
