(A) It is not an offense under § 133.01 if the violation:
(1) Arises out of actions taken at the direction of an authorized agent of the city to enforce or ensure compliance with this section; or
(2) Arises out of, or in connection with, a bona fide research or scientific endeavor funded by a public entity or non-profit organization.
(B) This chapter does not apply to any person who commits any act described in this chapter pursuant to the direction or prescription of a licensed physician or dentist authorized to direct and prescribe such act.
