Whoever violates Section 270.01 shall be fined not less than fifty dollars ($50.00) nor more than five hundred dollars ($500.00), or be imprisoned not more than six months, or both. If any such person who is convicted of willfully violating Section 270.01 holds any public office or place of employment, such office or position shall, by virtue of such conviction, be rendered vacant.
