The Mayor shall have been a resident and an elector of the Municipality for at least two (2) years immediately prior to the date of his or her election, or who has been for two (2) years prior to the election continuously a resident and elector of territory which, at the time of the election, has been annexed to the Municipality. The Mayor shall continue to be a resident and an elector throughout his or her term of office.
The Mayor shall not hold any other elective public office or other municipal office or employment. He shall not, directly or indirectly, solicit, contract for, receive or be interested in any profit or emolument from or on account of any contract, job, work or service with or for the Municipality.
