(a) The service charges for the use of the ambulance and emergency medical service of the City shall be as follows:
(1) The per patient charge for ambulance and emergency medical services shall be calculated and charged at 1.5 times the rate set by Medicare (Medicare Rate$ x 1.5) for each specified level of service as classified by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) guidelines.
(2) In addition to the rates set forth in subsection (a)(l) hereof, loaded patient transport mileage shall be calculated and charged at 1.5 times the mileage rate set by Medicare (Medicare Rate$ x 1.5), which charge shall be calculated based on tenths of a mile.
(b) No person who uses such service shall fail to pay therefor at the rates set fo1ih in this section.
(c) In accordance with Ohio R.C. 4769.02, the Finance Director is authorized to accept the Medicare approved amount as full payment of the service charges specified in subsection (a) hereof for eligible Medicare patients.
