1052.04 NONACCEPTABLE WASTEWATERS.

   Wastewaters containing pollutants in excess of normal concentrations, as defined in Section 1052.03, shall be subject to the following:

   (a)   Prohibition of discharge to the wastewater treatment works;

   (b)   Pretreatment prior to discharge to the wastewater treatment works to comply with concentrations or amounts of pollutants established by the City and subject to payment of a surcharge pursuant to Section 1052.06; or

   (c)   Permitted to be discharged to the wastewater treatment works without pretreatment, subject to payment of a surcharge pursuant to Section 1052.06.

   (d)   The Division of Water Pollution Control reserves the right to prohibit discharge into the system from an establishment not meeting the requirements of Sections 1050.01(c) and 1052.03, by blocking effluent at the source.

   The City shall determine which of the three alternates shall apply, based upon the volume and concentration of pollutants of the wastewaters involved.
