(a) No person who lets watercraft for hire, or the agent or employee thereof, shall rent, lease, charter or otherwise permit the use of any watercraft unless such person provides the watercraft with the equipment required under Sections 670.02, 670.24, 670.25, 670.26, 670.27, 670.28, 670.29 and 670.33 and rules adopted under them and complies with requirements of Section 670.23 and rules adopted thereunder. (b) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor. Punishment shall be as provided in Section 698.02. (ORC 1547.99(C))
