670.29 BACKFIRE ARRESTING DEVICE REQUIRED.

(a) Carburetors on all engines of powercraft, other than those propelled by a detachable outboard motor, shall be fitted with a Coast Guard approved backfire flame arrestop securely attached to the carburetor and in proper working order. (ORC 1547.28)

(b) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor. Punishment shall be as provided in Section 698.02. (ORC 1547.99(C))
