§ 32.01  DEPARTMENT OF AVIATION.
   (A)   The County Council does hereby favor the acquisition, improvement, operation and maintenance of an airport or landing field for the county under and pursuant to the provisions of I.C. 8-22 et seq, as amended.
   (B)   It is hereby declared to be a necessity for the acquisition, improvement, operation and maintenance of an airport or landing field in the county.
   (C)   There is hereby established, as one of the executive departments of the county a Department of Aviation which shall be under the control of a board of four members known as the Board of Aviation Commissioners. The members of the Board shall be appointed by the Board of County Commissioners and not more than two members of the Board shall be of the same political party. The members of the Board shall serve without compensation, but shall be paid their actual expenses, of not to exceed $1,200 per annum for the entire Board.
   (D)   The Board of Aviation Commissioners shall have all of the powers and authority as conferred by the provisions of Chapter 190 of the 1945 Acts of the State General Assembly, as amended.
   (E)   It is resolved by the County Council that it hereby adopts and accepts the provisions of the Indiana Uniform Airport Authority Act, I.C. 8-22-3-1 et seq., and hereby establishes the County Airport Authority.
