Except as provided in Wis. Stat. §§ 350.02 and 350.045, or for snowmobile events authorized in accordance with Wis. Stat. § 350.04, no person shall operate a snowmobile upon any public right-of-way or areas in the village except upon the following designated snowmobile routes and trails:
(A) Routes. All of the public streets and alleys within the village are designated snowmobile routes with the exception of the following streets and highways: Third Street (Highway 35); County Road CC; and County Road N.
(B) Trails.
(1) Operation of snowmobiles on marked trails are authorized in the following public areas: Roadway to the wastewater treatment plant and in that area within the village that lies south of the south edge of the Burlington Railroad right-of-way.
(2) The Police Chief may authorize village employees to procure, erect, and maintain appropriate snowmobile route, trail, and limit signs and markers as approved by the State Department of Natural Resources under Wis. Stat. § 350.13.
(3) No person shall fail to obey any route or trail sign, marker, or limit erected in accordance with this subchapter.
