(A) Before proceeding with the erection, enlargement, alteration, repair or building components of any building in the Village of Peotone, an application for a permit shall be filed with the Building Department. Such application shall be on a form furnished by the Administrator or his or her designee. Every such application for a permit shall describe the land upon which the proposed building or work is to be done by some description that will readily identify and definitely locate the proposed building or work; shall show the proposed use or occupancy of all parts of the building, and shall contain such other information as the Administrator or his or her designee may require as outlined in the adopted technical codes, and its appendices, herein.
(B) An application for a permit for any proposed work shall be deemed to have been abandoned six months after the date of filing, unless such application has been diligently pursued; except that the Administrator or his or her designee may grant one or more extensions of time for additional periods not exceeding 90 days each if there is reasonable cause.
