§ 31.055 RECORDS TO BE KEPT; INDEX; CUSTODIAN.
   (A)   The Village Clerk shall keep the records of ordinances which is required to be kept by statute, and such other records as may be required by ordinance. The Village Clerk shall keep in a separate book a record of all licenses and permits issued by him, and of the amounts of money received by the Clerk; and shall keep the record of accounts between the Clerk’s office and that of the Village Treasurer.    (B)   The Clerk shall keep and maintain a proper index to all documents and records kept by the Village Clerk’s office, so that ready access thereto and use thereof may be had. ('70 Code, § 1.4.6)
   (C)   The Clerk shall be custodian of all records, papers, and documents belonging to the village which are not specifically given unto the custody of some other officer, and shall be custodian of the village seal. ('70 Code, § 1.4.4) (Am. Ord. 22-16, passed 8-8-22)
