4-1-24: SUSPENSION OR REVOCATION OF LICENSE:
The village president may suspend or revoke any license issued pursuant to the terms of this chapter for any violation of any provision of this chapter or any state or federal law pertaining to the sale of alcoholic liquor, beer, ale or wine. In addition to the suspension, the village president may levy a fine on the licensee for such violations as provided in subsection 1-4-1B of this code for each violation. Each day a violation continues to exist shall constitute a separate offense. No such license shall be suspended or revoked and no licensee shall be fined except after a hearing held pursuant to currently applicable law.
Any such hearing shall be conducted before a court reporter or certified shorthand reporter. Review of the village president’s order on appeal shall be limited to a review of the certified official record of the proceedings before the village president.
