The maximum allowable infiltration/inflow allowance for new service lines is 200 gallons per day/inch-diameter/mile. The town may require repairs or replacement of the existing service lines in order to meet the same infiltration/inflow allowance requirements as specified for new service lines and connections. In such cases, all work shall be performed by or under the supervision of a licensed contractor and in accordance with the applicable plumbing code and at the expense of the owner/user. The town may repair or replace the existing connections at the expense of the owner/user or may permit the owner to have such repairs made under supervision by a licensed contractor at the expense of the owner/user.
