§ 50.085 CONNECTING OF BUILDING SEWER TO PUBLIC SEWER.
   (A)   Unless otherwise approved by the town in writing, all building sewers shall be connected to the public sewers in a manner to permit gravity flow of building sewage.
   (B)   In buildings which the building sewer is too low to permit gravity flow to the public sewer, the owner shall install such lifting/pumping device acceptable to the town. Location of the lifting/pump device shall ensure no release of sewer gas to the building(s) and shall be readily accessible for maintenance activities. The town will not be responsible for any cost of the lifting/pump installation, operation, or maintenance.
   (C)   Installation of the building sewers must comply with all applicable building and plumbing codes.
   (D)   Prior to the covering-up or start-up of the building sewer, lifting/pumping device, etc. the town shall inspect such and issue its approval of the installation. Defects or items found to violate applicable sewer, building or plumbing codes shall be immediately corrected by the owner and reinspected by the town.
   (E)   Elder valves shall be installed on all sewer services that are not supplied domestic water by the town.
