§ 94.01 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply except where the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   ABANDONED VEHICLE. Any motor vehicle in which the owner has relinquished control, as provided by a combination of the following:
      (1) The vehicle is inoperative or is left unattended on public or private property for a period of seven days or more;
      (2)   The vehicle is illegally located on private or public property for a period of seven days;
      (3) Vehicle registration has expired and insurance coverage is not up to date; and/or
      (4)   A vehicle whose major parts have been removed so as to render the vehicle inoperable and incapable of passing a state inspection; and/or
      (5) Vehicles whose legal owner disclaims ownership or releases his or her ownership rights thereto.
   JUNK VEHICLE. Any vehicle that has been abandoned, wrecked or partially dismantled and has no apparent value other than for scrap or parts.
   VEHICLE. A motorized device for transportation and includes, without limitation, automobile, truck, trailer, tractor, buggy and motorcycle.
