§ 93.23 ANIMALS.
   (A)   No pets shall be allowed in parks posted “NO PETS” with the exception of service animals. SERVICE ANIMALS are defined as animals that are individually trained to perform tasks for people with disabilities. Service animals are working animals, not pets.
   (B)   Otherwise:
      (1)   Pets must remain on leashes at all times and are not allowed in the playground areas.
      (2)   Pet waste is the responsibility of the owners and must be properly disposed of immediately.
      (3)   No pet shall be permitted to cause damage to the park.
      (4)   No person in or adjacent to a park shall abandon any animal.
      (5)   No large domestic or non-domestic pets or animals are permitted in a town park with the exception of cats and dogs, unless authorized in writing by the town, and then only after obtaining any permits required.
