§ 154.81 BACKFILLING AND COMPACTION IN ROADWAY.
   Backfill material shall be placed in layers not to exceed eight inches in thickness, with each layer carefully compacted to 100% of maximum density, per American Association for State Highway and Testing Offices (AASFTO) T-99-C and each layer shall be tested, before placing succeeding layers. Swale area need only be compacted to 98% of maximum density, per AASHTO (T-99-C). Density tests shall be taken in each lane and shoulders at intervals of 200 feet or less, as approved by the Engineering Department.
