§ 154.33 DESIGN STANDARDS FOR BLOCKS.
   (A)   The lengths, widths, and shapes of blocks shall be determined with due regard to the following.
      (1)   The provision of adequate building sites suitable to the special needs of the type of use contemplated.
      (2)   The zoning requirements, as to lot sizes and dimensions.
      (3)   The needs for convenient and safe access, circulation, and control of pedestrian and vehicular traffic.
      (4)   The limitations and opportunities of topographic features.
   (B)   Block lengths shall not exceed 1,320 feet nor be less than 500 feet, unless found unavoidable by the Planning and Zoning Board.
   (C)   Pedestrian crosswalks, not less than ten feet in width, may be required through blocks over 1,000 feet in length, where necessary in the judgment of the Board to provide safe and convenient access to schools, playgrounds, shopping centers, transportation, or other community facilities.
