It shall be unlawful to maintain in the city any poultry or animal yard, lot, pen or other enclosure, any part of which is within 150 feet of any building used for residence purposes by anyone other than the one maintaining the same or his or her immediate family or within 150 feet of any public way other than an alley or within 150 feet of any church or school building. This section shall not apply to enclosures used solely for dogs.
