All streets extending through the city and those that shall hereafter extend through the city shall be and the same are hereby named and renamed as follows:
A. The north and south street on the section line between sections 28 and 29 and sections 32 and 33, township nine (9) south, range 23 East Boise meridian shall be known as Main Street (also known as State Highway 27).
B. The east and west street along the section line between sections 28 and 33 and between sections 29 and 32 in township nine (9) south, range 23 East Boise meridian (presently State Highway 25) shall be known as Ellis Street.
C. All streets running north and south and being east of Main Street and north of Ellis Street shall, commencing with the first street east of Main Street, be known as North 1st East, North 2nd East and so on consecutively throughout.
D. All streets running north and south and being west of Main Street and north of Ellis Street shall, commencing with the first street west of Main Street, be known as North 1st West, North 2nd West and so on consecutively throughout.
E. All streets running north and south and being west of Main Street and south of Ellis Street shall, commencing with the first street west of Main Street, be known as South 1st West, South 2nd West and so on consecutively throughout.
F. All streets running north and south and being east of Main Street and south of Ellis Street shall, commencing with the first street east of Main Street, be known as South 1st East, South 2nd East and so on consecutively throughout.
G. Main Street shall be known as South Main Street as it exists south of Ellis Street and shall be known as North Main Street as it exists north of Ellis Street.
H. All streets running east and west through the city are hereby named commencing with the first street north of Ellis Street and so on north as Lincoln Street, Clark Street, Idaho Street and such streets shall be designated in their direction from Main Street, i.e., East Lincoln Street, West Clark Street and etc.; the first street south of Ellis Street and west of Main Street running in an east-west direction is hereby named Wayne Street; and subsequent streets opened and dedicated within the city running in an east and west direction through the city shall be named from time to time by the city council.
