5-2-5: TRUCK AND TRAILER PARKING:
   A.   Definitions: The meanings of the words "truck", "truck tractor" or "semitrailer" are as defined in Idaho Code section 49-121(6) and (9).
   B.   Parking Restrictions: It shall be unlawful to park any of the following trucks, truck tractors, semitrailers or combination thereof on any street or alley in the city other than on the streets designated by ordinance as the truck route:
      Two-axle, single unit trucks
      Three-axle, single unit trucks
      Two-axle truck tractors with one or two-axle semitrailers
      Three-axle truck tractors with two-axle semitrailers
   C.   Responsibility Of Vehicle Owner: The registered owner of the truck, truck tractor or semitrailer shall be presumed to be the owner at the time the offense is committed and subject to the penalty, except when the use thereof was secured without the consent of the owner.
   D.   Signs Posted: The chief of police is authorized to designate, as he deems necessary for the control of parking, any part of the truck route where truck, truck tractor or semitrailer parking is prohibited, and the chief of police is authorized and directed to erect and place such signs indicating truck parking is prohibited.
   E.   Exceptions To Provisions: The provisions of this section shall not apply to trucks, truck tractors and semitrailers engaged in the expeditious and actual loading or unloading of passengers, materials, goods or merchandise, in no event to exceed fifteen (15) minutes, or to vehicles operated by members of the police or fire departments or ambulances when operated in response to an emergency call or proceeding to the scene of a fire or when parked pursuant to such a call or at the scene of a fire.
   F.   Violation; Vehicle Impoundment: Violation of this section is a misdemeanor. The police department shall have the authority to impound any truck, truck tractor or semitrailer and remove the same that is in violation of this section, and the owner of the truck, truck tractor or semitrailer shall pay all costs of towing and storage of the removed vehicle.
