(a) Smoking, vaping and/or any other means of tobacco/nicotine use is prohibited within the confines of any pavilion, and/or any other structure under roof, including bathrooms within any of the city’s parks systems, unless specificity marked as a designated area for which to do so, within and/or about 30 feet of any and all playground equipment, within the fenced area of the splash park, within the perimeters of the skate park, within any of the fenced perimeters of River City Park, or any other posted areas.
(b) All trash must be deposited in the provided receptacles throughout the parks by all patrons. Failure to do so will be considered littering, and will be prosecuted as such, in accordance with all ordinances pertaining to littering within the city.
(c) Restroom facilities must be kept clean and neat. Anyone, including parents and/or guardians of juveniles, responsible for vandalizing, damaging, and/or causing the facilities to become inoperative and/or not useable will be held liable for all repair and/or restoration costs. Violators will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
(d) All pets within the parks systems, must be leashed at all times, unless within an established fenced dog park area. All feces deposited within the parks from said pets, must be collected, by the owners and/or walkers utilizing their own and/or the provided collection stations supplies throughout the parks systems, and disposed of properly.
(e) Rentals of all pavilions will be honored and respected. Intrusion upon these areas during scheduled/reserved events will be in violation of the Parks and Recreation Commission rental rules, and subject to citation and/or forfeiture of park property privileges.
(f) All league sponsored event(s) will require and submit a certificate of liability insurance for said event(s), along with a copy of a schedule for the season, to the city business office within 48 hours prior to the beginning of the event(s).
(g) Usage/rental of the concession stand at River City Park requires removal of any and all perishable items and refuse at the end of the event or season, and must leave the facility clean. Failure to do so will result in a mandatory clean-up fee, in force at the time of the infraction set forth by the Parks and Recreation Commission.
(h) Use of all park facilities and its equipment are done so at the user’s risk. The city and/or the Parks and Recreation Commission will not be responsible for any bodily injury or damage to personal property during the usage of the these facilities and/or properties.
(i) Separate/additional rules for Wellness 24 and the Parsons Community Center will additionally apply, including user/membership agreements and/or waivers.
(j) The Code Enforcement Officer will enforce all rules and regulations established by the Parks and Recreation Commission.
