Council hereby finds that the purposes of the state’s Governmental Ethics Act have reasonable, necessary, and appropriate application to matters involving all elected and appointed municipal officials and employees, whether full- or part-time, who derive a salary, payment of wages, or other direct remuneration from the city, and does now hereby affirm, ratify, and adopt said state-defined purposes as being the same purposes of this municipal government ethics ordinance, without specifically republishing said state purposes herein.
