The requirements of this chapter shall not apply to the following:
A. A "canvasser" as defined in section 3-3-2 of this chapter;
B. Any solicitation made upon premises owned or occupied by an organization upon whose behalf the solicitation is made;
C. Any communication by an organization soliciting contributions solely from persons who are members of the organization at the time of such solicitation;
D. Any solicitation in the form of a collection at a regular meeting, assembly or service of a charitable organization.
E. The sale of goods, wares, merchandise or services by any student group or religious, philanthropic or charitable organization exempt from taxation under 26 USC section 501 and which has a local charter or sponsor located in the city;
F. The sale of any goods, wares, merchandise or services by any person or organization appropriately licensed or permitted under any other provision of this code;
G. Sales conducted pursuant to court order;
H. Newspaper carriers, whether subscriptions are taken or not;
I. Any person under the age of eighteen (18) years of age unless employed by another person or organization. (Ord. 573, 12-9-2014)
