1-6-5: VICE MAYOR; ACTING MAYOR:

   A.   Vice Mayor 1 : At the same meeting at which the mayor is selected, the council shall designate one of its members as vice mayor who shall serve at the pleasure of the council. The vice mayor shall perform the duties of the mayor during his absence or disability. (1988 Code § 2-2-2)

   B.   Acting Mayor: In the absence or disability of both the mayor and vice mayor, the council may designate another of its members to serve as acting mayor who shall have all the powers, duties and responsibilities of the mayor during such absence or disability. (1988 Code § 2-2-3)
