8-3-10: DISCONTINUANCE OF SERVICE:
   A.   Discontinuance By Customer; Responsibility For Service: Any person, firm or corporation who desires to discontinue the use of domestic water service shall give notice to the clerk in advance of intended termination of service. Responsibility for water service consumed extends to the time of departure or to the time specified for departure, whichever occurs last. (1988 Code § 13-4-1)
   B.   Discontinuance Or Refusal Of Service By Town: A consumer's water may be disconnected for nonpayment of bills for water service or other services rendered at a previous location served by the water department, provided such bill is not paid within twenty (20) days after the presentation at the new location. The public works director may refuse service to any account that owes a previous water bill or other legal charge made by the water department. (1988 Code § 13-4-2)
