1-4-3: JURISDICTION AND PROCEEDINGS:
   A.   Jurisdiction: Jurisdiction of all proceedings to enforce the provisions of this Code will be in the Town of Parker Magistrate court.
   B.   Failure To Appear: If a person served with a civil citation or criminal complaint fails to appear on or before the time set for hearing by the court, the allegations in the complaint will be admitted, and the court must enter judgment for the town and impose a penalty, as applicable.
   C.   The Magistrate Court shall find the responsible party guilty, not guilty or may dismiss the civil citation. If the responsible party is found guilty, the order shall include:
      1.   The amount of any civil penalty imposed.
      2.   The date by when the responsible party shall correct the violation (if applicable), which date shall not be less than thirty (30) days after the decision and pay the civil penalty.
      3.   Notice that if the responsible party does not pay the civil penalty or correct the violation within the time ordered, the Town may take any lawful action to collect the civil penalty including imposition of a lien on the responsible party's land.
   D.   Collection of Fines: Any judgment for civil or criminal penalties taken pursuant to this chapter may be collected as any other judgment.  (Ord. 03-2020, 12-1-2020)
